“Through my art I create stillness and harmony inspired by the beauty and simplicity of Mother Nature.”

ABOUT ME

BIOGRAPHY

Zsófia had studies in fine arts, architecture and interior design. She was always passionate about painting and tried various techniques. Her watercolor journey started in 2019, when inspired by Jon J. Muth's Zen Tales series she attended a watercolor course at the watercolor Academy organized by IWS Hungary.

She loves the transparency created by the different layers of watercolor washes. She found something special in that painting technique. It challenges her to learn the wide variety of brush strokes and texturing that this amazing technique provides.

Her paintings are inspired by Morten Solberg and Lucy Newton wildlife artists, and by Antonio Ortega Perez’s abstract watercolor paintings.

ARTIST STATEMENT

When I paint landscapes and wildlife, I feel closer to nature. I use the contrast of loose watercolor background and animal portraits to express the harmony of motion and stillness in nature that surround us.
